19th C., Antique Pieced, Figural Bark cloth Table Cover. From up in Maine comes this super, early textile with pieced top, turkey track embroidery, wool braid and felt fringe. Printed cotton is textured like bark cloth and features Colonial couple, hunting dogs, sunflowers and other florals, foliage.
Cover measures about 43-44" square, not including 3" long fringe.
In good condition, there are some tears and stains, missing trim, as would be expected for piece this old, around mid-late 1800's. I have never used or displayed this while in my possession for many years. Thank you.
