Vintage Mennonite/Amish Graphic Irish Chain Quilt. Very nice, geometric quilt made up in textured solids like cotton and rayon damasks including Kelly Green. Patchwork pattern is either Irish Chain or Sunshine and Shadow. Thin cotton batting, coarsely hand quilted in green and white embroidery thread, in cross-hatch at 4-5 visible stitches per inch. White muslin backing with stain and fold lines from age. Brown border with dark brown bias binding for a double border effect. The quilt measures approximately 84" x 63" and it is in Very Good condition. There is 1 brownish small stain on the back, please see picture. Folds neatly and is still crisp with little wear or use. Found at the Clearview School Amish auction benefit in Wisconsin. Would date to around the 1940-50's based on rayon damasks used, thank you.
