Interesting and unusual antique carved soapstone vase measuring about 4-1/2" long by 2-1/4" in height. Featuring an intricately detailed single vase, it is incised EXPOSITION SAN FRANCISCO 1915. This was purchased at the Chinese Pavilion during a trip to the fair in 1915 when my Grandfather first attended - it has been in the family since then - condition is very nice with no chips, cracks, or damage - there are a few natural hairlines and flaws within the stone. Just a neat piece of PPIE memorabilia - fun addition to any collection or display.
