You are viewing a fine quality Swiss open face pocket watch made for the American market in the 1890's. The case has a diameter of 42 mm or just over 3/4". The back cover is beautifully hand engraved with no monogram. Inside the outer cover it is marked: K14 and 56 for 14K gold. The dust cover reads the watch was made by Monard in Geneva and it is 15 jewels. The hour hands are gold with a Diamond chip in one hand. The dial is porcelain and in fine condition. The bow is gold clad and shows some wear, see photos. The watch is stem wound and pin set at one o'clock. The watch winds, sets, runs and keeps time. The watch weighs 78.8 grams in total which includes the movement.
