You are viewing a racing jockey's personal large open face pocket watch made by American Waltham . The coin silver case measures 2 1/8" in diameter and it is a size 18. The porcelain dial reads: Waltham. There are some light hairlines on the dial at 8 and at 5. The original glass crystal has some light scratches with one at 11. There is a tiny dimple on the silver on the back cover. This watch is a runner! The back cover shows in rose gold a jockey sitting on his horse. The back cover screws off. The movement is Waltham's Model 1879 and it is 15 jewels. The serial number of 16378881 indicates a date of manufacture of 1907. The watch is stem set and wound. The watch winds, sets, runs; and, keeps good time. This watch presents very nicely in person.
