You are viewing a fine quality French solid bronze engraved brooch made in the Art Nouveau design around 1895. The brooch measures 1 3/8" by 1 3/8" in diameter. The brooch depicts a lovely woman amongst flowers who is named "Fiore" It is signed by the artist underneath the name by Charles Pillet ( 1869 - 1960). He is a listed artist known for his engraving, especially of medals. He won the Grande Prix de Rome in 1890. He is listed in the French Benezit book of Artists. The bronze brooch has a locking style clasp. It weighs 14.1 grams.
