You are viewing a very fine quality gold plated over silver French wedding coin from a marriage in 1884. The front of the coin shows a couple exchanging vows. The coin has a diameter of 1 5/8". The marriage coin was done by the artist: F. Montagny ( sig center of bottom), Paris Medallist, 1816-1896. On the back is a garland of roses and the couples names and date: 5 Mai 1884. On the rim of the coin is stamped: Argent and a French silver standard hallmark. The coin weighs 31.3 grams. There is minor loss to the gold plating.
