You are viewing a fine quality American late Victorian era Sterling overlay pocket flask. The flask measures 5 1/4" long by 2 1/2" wide and it is 1" thick. It has two monograms . The top screws off with a counter clockwise turn to open and it is hinged. It retains the original cork inside the top. There is a removable bottom which turns into a cup. There are two tiny dimples at one corner, see photo. Both pieces have matching numbers and are marked with the Gorham hallmark and Sterling. The glass flask is in fine condition with no chips, cracks; or, clouds. The bottom of the cup has a date cypher for 1898.
