You are viewing a very fine quality English Victorian era Sterling silver and cut glass box. The box measures 7" long by 1 3/4" wide. It stands 1 3/8" high. The top is solid Sterling silver and it is hallmarked for being made in London in 1855. The top weighs 52.6 grams. There is a fancy monogram in the center of the top. The bottom is cut glass with a sunburst design cut into the glass on the bottom. The glass has a tiny chip on the lip, see photo.
