You are viewing a fancy gold filled hunting case pocket watch with a railroad theme. The case has a 2 1/8" diameter;and, it is in fine condition and has coin sides. The dial is hand painted and in fine condition;and, the hands are gold except the sweep second. The watch was made by the Marvin Watch Company of New York City which is owned by Didiheim, H.A. Fils, Cie, Des Montres Marvin at St. Imier Switzerland. The company was founded in 1850. They sold watches with American cases and 21 jewel movements in the United States between 1885-1910. The watch is stem wound and lever set at 5. The serial number of the movement is 1852342. The watch has been recently refurbished and professionally cleaned. The watch sets, winds, runs and keeps time.
