You are viewing a fancy English sterling silver match box made in London in 1890. The box measures 3" long by 2 1/2" wide and it stands 1 1/4" high. There is minor wear to the bottom corners;and, one seam on the bottom wall has a small separation, see photo. The box is hallmarked on both pieces for being manufactured in London in 1890. The bottom is used as a striker for the match.
