With Victorian elements and Egyptian influences from the opening of King Tut's tomb in 1922, this lovely Hobe locket is a revival of several styles. The carnelian glass cabochons are carved to resemble scarabs and the chain resembles the book chains from the Victorian period. The locket is large so there is ample room for a photograph or any type of token you would like held by this beautiful locket. Signed Hobe, chain measures 17" with fold-over clasp, locket measures 1-3/4" by 2-1/2". Excellent condition with wear to gold tone on back of locket.
