A lovely antique Indian miniature painting of a lady preparing herself for her lover. She is applying makeup to her feet. This is possibly Radha waiting for Krishna to arrive. The painting is likely a later copy of a Sunder Shringar series based on an 18th century poem. Paintings like these were done in Kangra and Guler in the Punjab Hills and fall under the Pahari School.
Watercolor or gouache on paper. It measures 8.5 x 5.5 inches.
Condition is as seen in the photographs.
