An large antique Victorian Whitby jet padlock style bracelet fastener that is also suitable to wear as a pendant. It has an unusual opening mechanism that is a little different from the norm. You push the brass lever towards the silver hasp to release it. One side has a hand painted portrait of a young woman and the other side reminds me very much of a tulip flower. It is in very good condition for its age with only one small nick and a couple of flea bites that are barely visible in real life, but mentioned for accuracy. It does not detract in any way. It measures approx. 3.5cm x 2.7cm and weighs 8.9g. I do not come across these very often so get one while you can. This would work equally as well on either a jet or silver bracelet, the choice is yours.
