A Victorian 12ct gold tassel charm that has had a higher carat gold wash that has stayed in the lower sections of this beautiful item. The six tassels are made from a style of chain I have not seen on a tassel before and each have a little end cap that reminds me very much of acorns. The gold content for this charm has been tested using an XRF machine. (June 1854 is when 15ct, 12ct, and 9ct gold was introduced in the UK and in 1932 12ct, and 15ct were discontinued and substituted with 14ct.) It measures approx. 1 3/8" or 3cm excluding jump ring and weighs 2.2g. Small but perfectly formed..as they say.
