An antique Victorian sterling silver and paste set shamrock within a heart pendant. The rim of the heart has hand engraved detailing. The shamrock moves slightly due to the type of construction. This started life as a brooch/pin and I have converted it into a pendant. The heart hangs sideways for a change but could be altered to hang in the usual manner, I just wanted to do something different. It is suspended from an 18" sterling silver chain, marked STER on the fastener. The heart bears a full English hallmark for Birmingham 1893 and a makers mark of SB. This has had light cleaning but not over cleaned. The heart measures approx. 2.2cm x 2.2cm and as a whole weighs 4.7g.
