German Bavarian Boy doll is 13" tall and all original. He was made in Germany by the Gura doll company - his blue metalic hang tag reads Gura Trachtenpuppen Spielpuppen and the cardboard tag reads - This is an original costume doll as worn in the region of Bavarian-boy 18/15/32 cm. His head is painted bisque with blue glass sleep eyes that have real lashes. His eyebrows are painted auburn brown to match his mohair wig. He has rosy cheeks and a full red painted lips. He has a very light papier mache body that is jointed at the shoulder and hips. Stringing is nice and tight. The Bavarian Costume consists of a grey felt jacket, with green felt trim and white plastic buttons that have a ring of brown paint around the top. His shirt is white cotton. The lederhosen are black felt with green rick rack trim and buttons that match the jacket. On the sides of the short pants there are bows of green cording. On the cross bar of the lederhosen there is a white metal flower or sun pinned to it. He has a long red ribbon tie around his neck. He has green and white knit socks and brown oil cloth shoes trimmed with green (one has lost it sole). This doll is in never played with or displayed condition. He does have some soiling due to age. The box is his original box, edged on the inside with a paper doily . The lid is deep blue and labeled on one end - see photo. There is some wear to the corners of the lid.
