This find definitely belongs in a museum where it's message would illustrate its political incorrectness and shine a light on its racial overtones. This is Black Memorabilia of the finest quality. I believe it to be circa 1930's. It was purchased from a picker in the Buffalo area who bought it years ago at the Brimfield show and who vowed to never sell it. However, economic times and the need to eat and heat his home, finally made him decide to part with this treasure. It is in about as pristine condition as when new except for the crazed and alligatored finish to the paint and some rust to the nails. There is one crack in one of the feet but other than that, this is as good as it gets. Some controversy as to whether the black paint on the victim's face is original or was it perhaps touched up at some point. Hard to tell since the paint appears old. This beauty is about 5' long, 6" thick, and about a foot tall. Many more pics available. This is as good a piece of folk art as I have ever seen, much less had. Quite a departure from what we deal with most of the time, however we too have to eat and pay our bills so here it is, presented very reluctantly, but ready to be the crowning glory of a museum's or someone's collection. Another similar, "litigator", was recently posted on 1st dibs at the price of $7500.00 - This one is better - and cheaper. Shipping could be arranged of course, but we suggest that you pick it up in Niagara Falls - we will hold it as long as required at no charge.
