Victorian sterling silver filigree cameo pendant. Ornate sterling silver mounting with detailed filigree, scroll work, and bow accents around the bezel. Hand carved right facing shell cameo has incredible detail. The pendant is almost 2 inches in length. There is a bail on the back so that it can be worn as a pendant. Safety catch and tube hinge are original, with the pin missing. I'm sure it would be easy to have a new pin sautered on. The bottom of the bezel is marked, sterling. Circa 1890-1900? I think. Has been cleaned and is a pretty silver matte color. Please do note that all natural shell cameos when held to strong light will show fine growth lines to some extent, which is unique to each individual piece. None of the hairlines penetrate through the front and back surfaces of the shell, and do not compromise the integrity of the cameo. I didn't not show the silver chain I put on it, because I think it is too shiny for this pendant. If you need a silver chain, just let me know what length you like and it will accompany the pendant.
