These very rare vases are hard to find. Even more rare, are the vases with the etched birds. You will probably never see another one with the etched birds on a vine. This beautiful piece of art is from the Strombergshyttan glass factory in Sweden. Probably designed by master glass designer Gunnar Nylan who designed most of the Strombershyttan collections from 1952-1975. This beautiful vase is very heavy at almost 4 pounds and 1/2" thick. It is hand-blown, crystal art glass with a slight blue tint. It is deeply etched with a mother and baby bird, sitting on a vine with leaves. It is in excellent condition with no chips and a slight scratch on the base where no one will see it. This vase is 6 1/4 inches in height, and 3 3/4 inches across the top diameter. Engraved on the bottom is "Strombergshyttan" and "B860 & 1343". This vase would be a great gift for any collector or art lover.
