This stunning item is a Majolica pitcher in the form of an upward seated begging King Charles Spaniel, circa late 1800's. The spaniel wears a tri-cornered hat with a leaf and floral design. The collar is in the style of a padlock design. The handle on this pitcher is a twisted rope design to portray the little dogs leash. The colors are clear and deep, very vibrant. The expression on the little dogs face is priceless! This piece is in very good condition. It stands about 9 3/4" high. Very impressive to display.
