This vintage Mexican Red Clay pottery piece is a large water/sangria pitcher. It is made of the traditional red clay, decorated with bright yellow hand painted scenes around the pitcher of a swan floating on a river with reeds. The pitcher has a shiny glaze that finishes off the exterior. This item measures about 7 1/2" across from the tip of the spout to the widest part of the handle. It is approximately 8" in height and about 22 1/2" around the middle circumference of the piece. I find only the typical vintage aging you find with the clay pottery. There is the hand made texture and the only damage I find is a very small scratch on the base of the piece. Please see the photos. The yellow hand painting is in good condition and I find no damage to the yellow painting. The rim and applied handle are in good condition also.
It is recommended not to use this item in everyday serving. This is a wonderful addition to any collection or decor. It should be appreciated for the Folk Art talent it shows.
