This item is a vintage Trifari Crown Brooch. Seven beautiful faux pearls adorn the top of this crown. Below them are a row of seven bright green rhinestones and in between the arch below each green rhinestone are six white rhinestones. The "fitted" base of the crown is decorated with alternating red and blue diamond shaped rhinestones. The interior of the "fitted" base is highlighted by a row of nine glistening white rhinestones. (Please note: some of these white rhinestones have yellowed with age). The back of the brooch is marked with "Sterling/Trifari (with the crown stamp above the "T"/Des. Pat. No./140779". The pin and clasp of the brooch are in good working condition. All the pearls and rhinestones are present and are not loose. The sterling has a gold tone wash to it. Because of the patent number, this piece would date back to the mid 1940's. Alfred Philippe was the Head Designer for Trifari during this time. As stated, except for some yellowing of the rhinestones, this piece is in good vintage condition. It measures about 1 1/2" in length at the top of the crown (side to side) and is about 1" in height.
