This adorable little bracelet is made from Sterling Silver using the Viking Knitting technique or Trichinopoly. It is woven from a "single Wire" rather than individual links. The wire is very thin in order to be able to weave the very small gems into the piece.
I decided to utilize some Fresh Water Seed Pearls and some very small faceted Garnet Roundels to enhance the bracelet and wove or knit them directly into the weave of the bracelet rather than wire wrap them on to it after the fact.
The affect is subtle and the gems end up in a spiral pattern around the bracelet. The bracelet measures 7.25 inches in total length and is worn like a soft cuff or bangle although it has a hook.
This would be a great piece for teen as well as for the mature jewelry admirer. I really enjoyed exploring this variation for the Viking Knitting technique.
