WWII Lucite Sweetheart Cuff Bracelet USAF Nurse
Lucite sweetheart bracelets and cuffs were made during the war by soldiers to send to their sweethearts. Some trench art pieces were made from parts or pieces that could be found. These Lucite forms were probably available for purchase (guessing here) and appropriate emblems could be applied. This one is heat sunk into the Lucite.
This sweetheart cuff represents the Air Force but interestingly there is a N which I am assuming stands for nurse. The emblem is a brass tone and the N might have been originally but has darkened. It's not black as some pics may look.
It measure 1" tall in the front and tapers to 1/2" in the back. inside measures 2 3/16" x 1 5/8" . There might be about 1/4" pliability.
The condition is excellent for a WWII piece. No damage, no breaks or cracks and just a tiny scratch on one end on the back. The Lucite is very clear with no fogging.
Gender: Female, Age Group: Adult, Color: Clear / Brass, Size: 1
