In my opinion one of the best floral pins created by the expert carvers of the 1930s. Very bulbous with two extremely detailed flowers bolted to a leafy background. This one is extremely well carved. The best I've seen.
The brooch looks black until it hits the sunlight then a maroon shade appears. That's because originally the brooch was a translucent multi-colored Prystal. Hold it in front of a light bulb and the original colors of blue, green, and purple appear. Back out in normal light it again looks black. Beautiful!
This is a chunky brooch which makes it so charming. It measures a little over 3" long and is 1 1/4" tall and 1/2" thick!
The condition is excellent with no damage. The original pin back with safety catch is heat sunk into the Bakelite and is in perfect working order.
