Spinner motion rings were popular in the 1970's. There were companies in the USA and in Europe that became famous for this kind of kinetic jewelry. Rings are most common both with and without stones. This is a rare spinner motion pin with diamonds. This amazing pin has 2 spinning tiers and 3 tiers in total. The middle spinner has 36 white diamonds that are about 2 pts each for a total weight of about 70 pts and the top diamond is about 20 pts. The spinners have great life and spin wildly. The pin measures 1"W X 1"L and weighs 12.7 grams. The pin is marked 750 for 18K, is possibly European and a W in a circle for a maker's mark. The pin has loops to be worn as a pendant also. It is in excellent original condition. This pin was worn to the International Kinetic Exhibit and Symposium in Boynton Beach FL last year. It was well received by both collectors and exhibitors. Spinning diamonds add to the thrill of this pin. Kinetic jewelry in diamond and gold is poetry in motion.
