For your consideration are these well made, one-of-a-kind pair of handmade antique ice cleats or shoes. Extremely rare! Late 19th-early 20th century. Make-dos, made out of old iron strap hinges. The leather straps are in good shape. These ice shoes are from the old days of ice harvesting or ice fishing. They are a nice example of utilitarian folk art. You can see where the ends of the bolts were filed to grip the ice better, leaving file marks on the nuts. Approximate measurements: 13” long X 5 & 1/2” wide X 4” high. Weight of the pair is a little over 4 lbs.
