Despite having the clasp replaced sometime in the last century, while missing one tiny diamond that you won't notice without a loupe, this stunning, sturdy brooch is simply a triumph. It dates from 1875!
The floral and abstract design features a 7mm pearl at the center, surrounded by silver leaves. The swirls and backing to the brooch are of 14K yellow gold (electronically tested), and the perimeter is dotted with 24 bead set old rose cut diamonds (approximately .48 carat).
It measures 1 1/2 inches in diameter and weighs 9.6 pennyweights.
A rare delight indeed!
