This porcelain bowl is transfer decorated, nicely turned and heavily potted. The bowl is from the Japanese Meiji period and of classic Japanese form. The transfer decoration is very well executed with an interesting design of flying cranes above an inner boarder of
baskets filled with flowers and connected with a garland of stylized geometric pattern flowers and centered with a rising phoenix at the base. The condition is excellent with no chips cracks or hairlines. The bowl is 19th century Meiji period. It measures 9.375 in. diameter, by 3.0 in. tall. Guaranteed to be as described.
