A fabulous and hard to find large French gilt mirror, circa 1800. The mirror is all hand carved, not gesso. It is 77" high by 38" wide. Condition is good. There are some restorations to the crest as can be seen in the pictures of the back of the mirror. The glass is intact with some degradation in the silvering. It was made in two parts (common for large 18th century glass) . The part where the two pieces meet has the most degradation to the silvering. Most likely from water or glass cleaner seeping into the edge where the two panes meet. Guaranteed to be as described.
