A fine English George III mahogany sideboard, circa 1790. The sideboard features fabulous inlays in satinwood and boxwood, and rounded side cabinets. The top is plum pudding mahogany with satinwood banding and boxwood inlays. Secondary wood is oak. It is 73" wide by 28" deep by 37" high. The finish is in good condition, old, but not original, and it is slightly sun-bleached. The hardware (not original but very cool), is unusual, being bronzed satyr heads with ring pulls. The locks are all intact but there is no key. There are some minor splits to the rounded sides and the veneer over the rounded cabinets but overall, the piece is in very good condition. Guaranteed to be as described.
