An American federal period mahogany secretary bookcase, mid Atlantic states, circa 1800. The base features fine inlay and crotch mahogany veneers with a "butlers" style drop down and pull out desk with fitted interior. All over three drawers ending in flared French feet. The top has a glazed bookcase with two interior shelves and a molded cornice. The piece is all original and in good condition overall. The finish has checkered and there are some problems with the veneer along the front edge. Please view all photos carefully. It is approx. 81" high by 43" wide by 22" deep.
