Antique English Mahogany Hepplewhite Slant Front Desk Circa 1810

An English Hepplewhite mahogany slant front desk, circa 1810. The desk features a gorgeous original finish and period hardware (though there is evidence of other hardware). There are four graduated drawers over flared French feet and a shaped skirt. The drawer fronts have book-matched crotch mahogany veneers and cockbeading, with string inlay and banded borders. The fitted interior with 8 drawers with brass pulls. The desk measures 39 1/2" high by 36" wide by 18" deep. In overall excellent condition. There is one not very well done repair to the top. It is stable and we decided to leave it alone. Please see all photos. There is also some cracking of the veneer on the lid but it is also stable, nothing loose. The desk has great color and patination and is guaranteed to be as described.
