A nice diminutive English oak Welsh dresser. The base and both doors are mid to late 18th century, circa 1780. The rest of the top is a later adaptation. Made correctly, but later. The dresser is all oak with mahogany banding on the base and doors, with an additional fine inlay border. The base has two short drawers with original hardware over cabriole legs with ball and claw feet. The top has one long over two short shelves with plate racks and with a carved frieze above the doors and on the top. The dresser is 69 1/2" high by 16" deep by 47" wide. Condition is very good. There is a small split on the right side under the top section and a possible burn mark on the top. Please view all photos. Normal wear and tear commiserate with age. We DO have the brass keyhole escutcheons for the doors. They are replacements and not installed yet. Guaranteed to be as described.
