A late 18th century English Sheffield plate meat dome, circa 1780-1800. It has an armorial of a leopard holding a clover? Or something similar. Note: the leopard is an addition, placed over an older armorial. Perhaps the original was worn through or the dome was stolen at some point and the original armorial covered up. I have showed several close-up views of this. There are some dents to one side which show up in the pictures, though not terribly well. Please view all photos carefully. There is very little bleed-through, only on the older armorial. The dome is approx. 12 1/2" by 19" by 10" high. Guaranteed to be as described.
