A gorgeous late Georgian to early Victorian period necklace in 14K yellow gold (unmarked and tested), circa 1835. The necklace is set with three rhodolite garnets of very good pinkish red color. The necklace was designed so that the chain slides on both sides but only one side is currently sliding. It appears that one side has been 'clamped' into place. Please see photos of the back. This is very hard to describe. The little acorn drop can then be adjusted to various lengths. The spring ring clasp is stamped 585 (14K) and is a replacement. The necklace is 15" long and hangs down another 2". Guaranteed to be as described.
