A fine English Georgian Sheffield plate (silver fused on copper) hot water urn, circa 1815. It is 17" high by 14" wide by 12" deep (all outside measurements). The urn is complete but there are some surface issues. There is some bleeding through to the copper in a couple of spots and in general, on all the high spots. There are some discolored blotchy areas as well. We don't know what this is but may be a cold silverplating solution someone applied to cover some bleed through before we acquired it. We prefer to actually see the rosy glow of the copper coming through naturally. Overall, the piece has a great presence and look. Please view all photos carefully. Guaranteed to be as described.
