A large Victorian period silverplate centerpiece. Designed with grape vines, leaves and grapes. A superb example and very decorative. It is signed/marked on the base. Stamps are similar to Elkington but not quite right so I don't think it's Elkington. Probably a contemporary of Elkington and almost certainly English, though it might be American. The frosted glass bowl is perfect. The silver is in very good condition though the piece has been somewhat over polished. It looks like it was dipped and then hand polished with a paste polish like wrights. It is 22" high from the base to the top (with the bowl) and the bowl is 9". In excellent condition and guaranteed to be as described.
