An antique Dutch silver spoon bearing the hallmark for .833 silver fineness and the date letter for 1911. This spoon is amazing. It's large, measuring 10" long by 2 1/2" wide, and it's heavy. The bowl is done in repousse and the handle is cast. Very elaborate with great detail, and the top of the spoon has a windmill that actually works! How cool is that? The decoration on the bowl is a copy of a Jan Steen painting. I was unable to identify it but there are words written in Dutch along the bottom edge that probably identifies the work. The spoon is in excellent condition with no damage or repairs and is guaranteed to be as described.
