Vintage French platinum diamond ruby ring, circa 1940. This vintage French ring is handmade in platinum featuring a .50 carat round brilliant cut center diamond with SI2 clarity and K color. It is accented with 54 rubies at 1.30 carat total weight. The rubies are set in invisible channels, are excellently matched, and are heat treated as with most rubies. There are also 10 full cut diamonds at .10 carat total weight with VS-SI1 Clarity and H-J color. This ring exhibits very fine workmanship and milgrain detailing. Note that vintage French rings are very difficult to make and not easily replaced. This French ruby & diamond ring is appraised at $7,000 and is sized just under 7.5. [KIMH 2918 P]
