About Jacques Gérôme Gudin:
Jacques Gérôme Gudin was born in 1732 in Paris, the son of Jacques Gudin and Henriette Le Noir. He became a master watchmaker in 1762, worked with watchmaker Jean Baptiste André Furet and made watches for the nobility of France. Gudin died in 1789. Watches by Gudin are found in the collections of Windsor Castle, the National Museum of Stockholm and the Musée des Arts et Métiers in Paris.
