Antique platinum Art Deco 4.6 carat sapphire ring with sapphires and diamonds, circa 1920. This ring features a 4.60 carat oval cut sapphire that is prong set in the center. The center sapphire is encircled with pave set single cut diamonds at .22 carat total weight with four bezel set round diamonds, one in each corner, at .20 carat total weight. The diamonds have a carat total weight of 0.42 carat and all diamonds have clarity of VS1 to I2 and H-I color. There is some milgrain detailing just before the outer row which features 37 channel set square and rectangular cut sapphires. Even the back side of this wonderful hand made platinum, sapphire and diamond ring is beautifully detailed in Art Nouveau fashion. The appraisal value for this piece is $10,500. The appraisal notes that the accent sapphires around the edge are mostly natural with a few synthetic and some have minor damage. This ring is a size 5-1/4.
