Research tells me that Dorothy Parsons wrote down her choice recipes and cures when she resided in Birr Castle, County Offaly, Ireland in the 1660's. This towel has a picture of the castle and some of those recipes. One in particular is quite humerous: "A Poultice for a great Pimple on the Nose". The towel is 54% linen, 46% cotton and is marked, "Made in Ireland". Nice condition, no stains, rips or holes.
