A striking hand-beaded, braided lariat from the 1960's. Bought with a small collection of Native American treasures - mostly Inuit - I am not exactly sure of this necklace's history, except that it is definitely Native American. The glass seed-beads are in bright and rich colours of scarlet, white and apple green and the lariat has three beaded fringes of soft deer-suede to add a truly ethnic feel. There is no signature on the piece and no clasp - it just slips over the head. The central beaded fringe is fixed in place and is not a slide. This is in excellent condition with just some darkening to the leather from wear. Utterly authentic and wonderfully boho!
