I started collecting bone china nursery rhyme miniature figurines in the 1980s and had 17 on display in a glass tabletop cabinet. I recently disassembled the cabinet and am selling all 17, some in sets. All are collectible for display only and not toys to play with.
This listing is for three of the figurines only. All three are from the nursery rhyme THERE WAS AN OLD WOMAN WHO LIVED IN A SHOE — a standing woman with a brush in her hand, a standing boy and a boot-shoe house.
AGE: Approximately 1950s
CONDITION: The three figurines are in good condition with no chips or cracks. The bottoms have brown paper residue from being glued to a display at one time.
HALLMARK: All three are unmarked but match other characters’ details in my collection that have stickers reading HI STYLE BONE CHINE BY BRIDGE JAPAN.
These figurines would make a great addition to a baby’s nursery’s curio cabinet or a collection of nursery rhyme memorabilia. My entire collection can be seen in the last photo and is being sold in separate lots. Please check my shop for other listings you might be interested in.
