Made from an 1874 Seated Liberty dime, this love token is hand-engraved in decorative lettering and Victorian artistry. The name NELLIE, a single flower below and foliage that forms a half wreath appear on the front.
Two holes have been drilled on both the left and right sides allowing the token to be used in a line bracelet connected by jump rings. On love tokens like this, I use one hole for a jump ring and have my jeweler set a stone in the other. Another possibility is to hang beads or other charms from the second hole.
METAL: Coin silver
CONDITION: Left and right holes have been stretched but are not broken through and can accommodate a jump ring or stone. Could use a cleaning.
HALLMARK: None except the edge of the coin
SIZE: 11/16" in diameter not including the attached loop. Coin in the last photo is to help show scale.
WEIGHT: 2.1 grams
A wonderful, one-of-a-kind, Victorian charm. Perfect to add to a collection of romantic puffy hearts or love tokens on a chased chain.
Every charm I sell comes with one No-Solder Magic Jump Ring and instructions on how to use it. Thanks for visiting me on Ruby Lane!
