This is a lovely cut glass pitcher from the turn of the last century, perfect for serving to a guest or two. It features swooping, deep miter cuts, feathers, fans, diamond cut leaves and even a couple of small hobstars. The rim is scalloped and the handle is double notched. The base is cut into a 32 point star. We can find no mark and have not been able to identify the manufacturer.
This comes from the estate of Phil’s mom, who was a passionate collector of American Brilliant cut glass and other fine art glass.
SIZE: Height is 6 1/2 inches. Diameter at the base is about 5 1/2 inches. The top measures about 7 1/2 inches from end of spout to back of handle, and is 4 1/4 inches wide.
CONDITION: Condition is very good. There are a few rough spots along the inside of the top rim, and a few very small nicks on high spots. There are a few small scratches towards the bottom on one side.
