This beautiful bowl really glitters thanks to the deep quarter diamond cut that is used on the entire piece. It is an interesting shape. It is narrow, with ends that curve up and end in a rounded point – just like a canoe. The top rim has a gentle scalloped cut.
This comes from the estate of Phil’s mom, who was a passionate collector of American Brilliant cut glass and other fine art glass.
SIZE: This bowl is about 10 inches long and 3 1/8 inch wide. It is about 1 3/4 inches high at the lowest part in the middle, and about 3 7/8 inches high at the ends.
CONDITION: There is one chip on the outside of the top rim (about 7x4mm last picture). There are a number of small chips on the high points, (we count at least 6). The bowl displays very nicely but the chips are there. Chips are present on the bottom too. In other words this piece was used.
Still-----------a very neat and unusual piece.
