This is one of many styles of “mini dresser bottles” made in Czechoslovakia in the 1930s. These were often promoted in the catalogs as inexpensive gifts or party favors, although they were as beautifully cut and polished as the larger perfumes. This little green beauty has a lovely Art Deco shape, with stepped cuts going down each side.
The stopper is also cut but in clear glass. We can’t be sure that it is original to this perfume; but it fits as if it were. And Mom displayed it this way. Many of the Czech perfumes have clear stoppers.
There is no dauber; there is no indication that this stopper had one.
Just imagine a display of these little gems in all of their colors and shapes!
This comes from the estate of Phil’s mom, who was a passionate collector of American Brilliant cut glass and other fine art glass.
SIZE: 1 1/4” wide by 3/4” deep.
CONDITION: There are a couple of very tiny nicks on the corner. Otherwise, this little bottle is in very good to excellent condition.
